Q: I hear a lot of talk about veneers. What are they?

A: Veneers are custom made shells that are designed to cover the front side of teeth. They are made of thin porcelain and can be used to close spaces between teeth, change the color or shape of teeth and in some cases change the position of crooked teeth. There are several visits necessary for the fabrication of veneers and routine follow-up is necesssary.
